Saleem film review :Story:
A foolish film, the story is set on the backdrop of a village and in comes Satyawathi (Ileana) from the city for her vacation. She has a doting father Singamanaidu (napoleon) who is also a highly respected man in the village. Satyawathi is the darling of the huge family and she is showered with affection from all ends. The story takes a turn when Munna (vishnu) comes and joins the family as an orphan. On the other hand, there is also the famous don OJO (Mohan Babu) better known as Ogirala Joginatham. However, there is a reason for Munna to come and what happens from there, who is ‘Saleem’? all this forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a rather confusing theme and though the presentation was alright, the narrative was pathetic. The dialogues were filled with double meanings, the script was written horribly and the screenplay was erratic. Background score was a major letdown but songs made up for it. Cinematography was neat. Editing was amateur, costumes were stylish, art department was creative. Manchu Vishnu has put in a lot of efforts and he has shown his mettle in dance, stunts and expressions, however, he still lacks the strength in dialogue delivery and he must work on it. Ileana is overflowing with glamour and she has fulfilled the desire for the mass audience. Mohan Babu seems to have made a wrong move by taking up this role, there was quite a bit of sleaziness in it. Kaveri Jha’s character was absolutely objectionable but she has done her job of oozing out glamour in a big way. Ali could have been better, Napoleon was elegant, Jayaprakash Reddy was standard, Raghubabu was good. The others didn’t have much to offer.

Conclusion:
The film comes across with a lot of hype and contrast to it, this has been a major disappointment. The first half takes off in a mild manner and just before the interval, there is a twist which shocks the audience. Later on, the second half is filled with twists and turns which messes up the whole plot. The lack of consistency and extreme focus solely on satisfying the voyeuristic pleasures has been the major cause of this dud. The double meaning dialogues and sloppy comedy is another setback. Sad to say but this big budget venture will fizzle out in no time at the box office.

Tollywood Andhra Verdict : Terrible!!!
