Analysis:

First, let me tell you, the movie title ‘Aakasa Ramanna’ is no where related to the story. And I wonder why that title was confirmed. The film is on the lines of a philosophical thriller that preaches about ‘Karma’ one is responsible for his own sin and acts. Guys, every filmmaker who comes with a new film tells that the film is different to routine stuff. And this film is no exception.

The film has to be on the lines of a thriller genre, but director Ashok failed miserably in spicing the film. He also failed in terms of screenplay with no links. The screenplay is jumping without any connectivity. Moreover, director Ashok has confused people with his screenplay and made a mess of it. He tried to be smart, but he was too smart for his own good.

Few scenes in the film, particularly the death of Raghu Babu promised a lot, but in the end, the conclusion was pretty simple one has to undergo Karma for their own acts. Now how can you give such a conclusion for a thriller? There’s no proper justification to few characters like Allari Naresh, Meera Jasmine. May be director Ashok did not know what to do.

To add to these woes, the background music was sounding hilarious perhaps Ashok was trying to be a touch natural by bringing some comedy scenes amidst a gripping sequence. The script should be more concrete and there’s no clarity. For a thriller, the plot should be very strong, which is not the case and Ashok should have done many changes in the script before making it.

The movie starts on a slow pace, but gains momentum when Raghu Babu dies. But again, it has lost its way in the middle. And I thought at least second half would be gripping, but unfortunately it s not.

Performance:

This is a subject which Allari Naresh should have done before ‘Gamyam’. I think his character should have been better picturized. There’s no room for innovation and performance in his character. It’s a pity that he chose to do this.

Shivaje was bad and we have seen enough of his over action all these years. And we all know that he cannot act naturally. Rajiv Kanakala - I was very disappointed with his role and performance. His character promised a lot, but he miserably failed. This is not the film that helps him, especially if he’s making a comeback.

Meera Jasmine is a mere dummy. I cannot understand why the makers roped in her for this character. Any girl would have done that. Gauri Pandit – Poor girl, what can she do when her character was penned down like that.

The movie is really unacceptable, dull and not gripping. It’s no cake walk making thrillers and I apprehend films like ‘Aakasa Ramanna’ would to degrade such genre.
